Then So What

The Xiaomi Mi 8 is quite different from the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The transparent Explorer Edition battery capacity is smaller than the Mi 8 that is 3,000 mAh. For the SE edition the battery strength is 3,120 mAh. The chipset for the Explorer Edition and the regular Mi 8 is the same. However, Mi 8 SE is a Chipset of Qualcomm Snapdragon 616. And run on 2.2 GHz speed. The RAM for the Mi 8 SE is 4/6 GB. But the Explorer Edition is 8 GB. However, the internal storage is positioned as 128 GB ROM for the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The Mi 8 SE has 64 GB.

The three variants have no Earpiece port. So, if you enjoy using Earpiece, then, Xiaomi is not giving this option. Then, try the next option. That is, the Bluetooth Earpiece. The Mi 8 Explorer Edition is transparent at the rear view. But the internal features aren’t showing, so, I wonder the extent if transparency! The phone has no IP rating, so be careful with water and dust if you are buying any of the variants.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition will use an in display fingerprint sensor. This made it totally different from the Mi 8 and the SE variant. Another important area for the Mi 8 Explorer Edition is using a 3D Facial Recognition technology. But the Mi 8 SE wouldn’t use these capability. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE screen size is 5.88”. This is smaller than its counterparts. All three series are near bezel-less in their estates and of course, the notch is very glaring.

For the cameras, the secondary rear camera of the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is 5MP. Every other aspect of the camera features are similar. The OnePlus 6 is learning besides the Xiaomi Mi 8 for the Animoji ability in it. Though, Xiaomi isn’t the first tech company to use Animoji, Samsung and Apple was. But this is a farewell for Xiaomi and may push their sales up when compared with the other China smartphone maker. The price for the Mi 8 may start from 430 dollars when its available in other market.
