Eleven Nigeria Tech Businesses Selected as Finalist in the Apps Africa Award


Information provided by Apps Africa shows that 11 out of 70 the finalist for the 2018 award are Nigerian technology businesses. Also, out of the 14 categories, these 11 Nigerian's businesses are feature in nine categories.

Apps Africa provides the winners with recognition in the industry, global publicity, networking with over 300 industry peers and an invitation to Africa Tech Summit 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda where they will join more than 400 technology leaders across Africa.



The nine categories in which the tech businesses in Nigeria likely win are AgricTech, Best Africa App, Changing Africa Award, Enterprise solution, Fintech, HealthTech, IoT, Media and Entertainment and Social Impact. Farmcrowdy and Flutterwave may win multiple award as it appear in more than one of these categories.

The Nigerian technology businesses in the finalist list, in no particular order are; Farmcrowdy, Flutterwave, Publiseer,  Kobo360, Kitovu, Paylater, MOBicure for myPaddiWellahealth, CypressV for Smart Switch, All-Farmers-Online, and ScholarX Inc. for ScholarX. These entities may be selected as winners in the nine categories they were featured.

The award is scheduled for November 12 at Cape Town, South Africa. Earlier 300 applications for the award was received from 39 Africa's countries of which the 70 finalists emerged. Last year, 12 categories of the award was available.
